10 Speed Coffee is a hidden gem tucked behind Calabasas Rd in a quiet little nook--not exactly the kind of place you'd stumble upon unless you're lost or in-the-know. It's a sleek, cozy spot, but the two entrances make the line feel like a choose-your-own-adventure--especially when it's busy and the baristas are working at lightning speed. The back patio is where this place really shines--shaded, peaceful, and centered around a small decorative pond that adds a surprisingly zen vibe. It's ideal for a first date, a quiet work session, or tossing around big ideas (my wife and I treat it like our unofficial creative office-slash-people-watching HQ). The cortado? Strong, smooth, and Cuban-grandma approved--which is a gold standard in my book. The avocado toast is a sleeper hit: arugula, sesame seeds, cucumber, a dash of spice--it's basically an edible spa day. Now, about those ceiling heaters. They're always on in the mornings and will slowly roast you like a free-range chicken. You can ask to have them turned off, but it becomes a weird social dance with the table next to you--do they want it off? Are you the problem? Still, between the strong coffee, great food, and tranquil vibes, it's a solid spot. Just bring a fan... or maybe a rotisserie timer.

My go-to coffee spot in the mornings! The espresso here is perfectly balanced, rich, smooth, and never bitter. Their double shot pull gives just the right caffeine kick to start the day strong. The baristas are fast, friendly, and always get my latte just right. Consistently great coffee and excellent service keep me coming back. The lines can get long during peak hours, I usually try to get here early. The location screams bikes as their decor matches the name of the shop. Highly recommend!

My top coffee spot in the SFV. Iced Maple Latte. Nutella Croissant. The restaurant is also good but can have a little wait. Their breakfast burrito is worth it! Normally the parking is great as they have a big lot, Valet lets you stop by for 10-15 minutes for to-go orders. The restaurant/coffee shop is on a little stream in the middle of Calabasas and is full of trees. It is a nice date spot as well.

When arriving to 10 Speed Coffee, the parking was great, plenty of spaces to park! The vibes of the coffee shop were awesome! The decor was amazing, if you love bikes then this is a great place to grab a bite and a coffee to relax! The seating was also plentiful! We ordered an iced vanilla latte and a chocolate chip walnut cookie. The coffee was very creamy and delicious! We loved that you could actually taste the vanilla flavor too! The cookie was also very tasty especially with the walnuts! The prices were also very reasonable! The service was good, employees were friendly! This place is definitely on our top list of coffee shops to come back to!

Interesting coffee shop + bar + bike shop combination in a ranch-style building just south of the highway. Parking is plentiful in a large lot, and a valet comes out to help organize as it becomes full. Street parking is available around as well. Atmosphere 3.5 out of 5: The coffee shop portion is when you first enter, with a bunch of booth tables and high chair/tables. There's even a loft area up a ladder. We arrived relatively early, and there were already a couple of people starting their day there. We enjoyed the quiet morning atmosphere as the sun rose - though there was an absence of electric outlets (or maybe we just couldn't find them). I liked how the sit-down area was distinct from the ordering area, so you were able to work at a distance from people ordering near the front. Service 4.5 out of 5: You order at the counter at the front, and the ladies working made our orders super quick. There isn't a water station, but they were happy to fill a cup up for us. Tables are self-bussed. Food 4 out of 5: Good coffee and tea overall - nothing incredibly special but definitely above average. The pastry I ordered was also good. Value 4 out of 5: Average pricing overall for a coffee shop. I would recommend this coffee shop overall as a well balanced start to the morning if you're in the area!

Open early with strong coffee! Such a cute location with friendly folks I had a drip coffee and it hit the spot, great beans. The everything filled croissant is the bomb. Like literally a bomb of crumbs and seeds everywhere when you eat it. Always a great sign of a good pastry

Cute little coffee shop, hidden inside Pedalers Fork, past the bar. Theres some outdoor seating available next to the bike repair shop. Interesting find! The coffee was fine. I saw they also had a small selection of muffins and pastries ( I was also visiting around 2pm so they might have had more in the AM). Service was friendly.

10 Speed Coffee is officially one of my must stops when visiting the San Fernando Valley. Walking into this café feels special as the ambiance is unlike any coffee shop that I've been to before, offering a bike shop, bar, and cafe hybrid interior surrounded by beautiful green in a comforting open space. The ambiance here is unmatched. If they had one of these in San Diego, I'd surely become a daily regular to get work done or study. There is plenty of room, and the space is simply beautiful - it makes getting work done that much more rewarding. The drinks are tasty - especially the maple lattes (both iced and hot are delicious). The baristas steam the milk to perfection and pour excellent shots. The drinks taste artisan and hand crafted by baristas who care about the product they make. They do not offer too many flavors or drink options, but sometimes less is more. The pasties are also good. I will be honest and say they did not blow me away and that getting a pastry isn't a must get when I visit this spot - but a sweet treat is always fun to get. The entire experience from start to finish feels special. The prices are steep, even being a bit expensive for me (coffee is a huge part of my budget). However, I am willing to pay for the experience offered. I can understand if this deters people from becoming regulars. Also, the line can get long, and the set up for the line can make the bar area feel too congested. Parking is fine, though the roads leading to the café can be confusing (I'm a San Diego driver, so forgive me lmao). But again, the trouble of getting here is well worth the wait. Kiley was incredibly kind and made me a delicious latte on my first visit. I wish that I remembered the name of the barista who helped me on my last visit, but it's apparent that service is a huge plus. 4.7/5 rounded up to a 5. I can only imagine how much cozier this spot gets when it's cold, raining, or when winter hits. Stay tuned for an updated review.
